About Us

KARVE is building Karve OS, a Mission Management Suite for defence, national security and regulated environments. The platform combines mission planning, data integration, workflow orchestration, analytics and graph-based insight. The aim is to build a practical, secure and useful product rather than over-engineered architecture for its own sake.

The Role

We are looking for a UX/UI Product Designer to help shape the user experience of Karve OS. This role will work closely with Engineering, Product and stakeholders to translate complex workflows, graph-based data models and large multidimensional datasets into intuitive, usable product experiences.

Role Purpose and Context

The UX/UI Product Designer will establish practical design foundations for Karve OS, defining user journeys, interaction models, wireframes and prototypes that support delivery of a modern, data-driven platform. The role requires someone comfortable working with graph data, complex relationships and visualisation requirements, helping bridge the gap between users, engineers and data models.

Skill Requirements

The intention is to widen the recruitment pool without lowering the bar. Candidates should be strong across the must-have areas; the should-have and bonus areas are differentiators, not blockers.

What You Will Be Doing

• Shape the user experience and design direction for Karve OS.

• Design interfaces for graph-based data, operational workflows and complex datasets.

• Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and production-ready UI designs.

• Work with engineers to ensure designs are practical, achievable and performant.

• Design visual approaches for connected data, relationships and graph-based insights.

• Support product discovery, requirement definition and backlog refinement.

• Establish and maintain design standards and reusable UI patterns.

• Translate technical concepts, data models and API-driven interactions into intuitive user experiences.

How We Work

• Pragmatic product design over unnecessary complexity.

• User needs balanced with engineering reality.

• Security, accessibility and usability considered from the start.

• Close collaboration between Product, Engineering and stakeholders.

• Lightweight documentation and rapid iteration.

• We value strong fundamentals and learning ability over exhaustive tool matching.

What Good Looks Like

• Complex workflows are intuitive and efficient.

• Graph-based information is presented clearly and effectively.

• The engineering team has clear designs and interaction patterns to build from.

• Users can navigate and understand complex datasets without specialist knowledge.

• Product experiences remain consistent as the platform grows.

Application Process

To apply, submit a CV and a short note outlining your relevant experience and interest in Karve OS. KARVE is committed to equality of opportunity and welcomes qualified candidates from all backgrounds.
