Julia is the research and analysis lead at the Rapid Capability Group (RCG). She is a defence researcher, analyst, and consultant with over fifteen years of experience. An expert on defence acquisition and defence industrial matters, Julia spent five years as a research leader at RAND Europe and is currently visiting senior research fellow at the Freeman Air and Space Institute (FASI) at King's College London and a senior associate fellow at the NATO Defence College. Julia holds a PhD in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
